Alioune Badara Diop a.k.a Khady Pouye, born in Dakar's Médina district, is a self-taught visual artist. 
 
Trained as a cabinetmaker, he worked for ten years in Bousso Diagne's workshop before discovering his artistic vocation in 2018 by restoring a painting by a great master.
 
Joining the “École de la Médina”, he quickly became a figure recognized for his talent and dexterity. Alioune  initially signed his works in the name of his wife, Khady Pouye, before revealing himself under his own identity, marking a turning point in his career. His untitled works are characterized by their diversity and textural richness, offering free interpretation to the public. 
 
Today, he is recognized both in Senegal and abroad, with his paintings collected by leading connoisseurs.
